Janelle Monae is riding the cultural zeitgeist right now. After starring roles in Moonlight and Hidden Figures, she put out her most successful record to date in the shape of this years Dirty Computer.

She is set to bring her live show to Manchester’s Academy 1 in a rare headline UK performance this September.
The record featured contributions from pop royalty, with a feature from The Beach Boys’ Brian Wilson and song writing input from none of other than Prince.
Dirty Computer was met with universal critical acclaim and sent Monae’s star to unseen new heights. Her live show is set to feature high energy performances of tracks like “Crazy, Classic, Life,” “Pynk,” and “Make Me Feel,” which peaked it at #74 in the UK charts.
That said, Monae doesn’t skimp on including her older stuff in live sets: her last American tour included six songs from her previous two albums, along with a majority of the Dirty Computer tracklist.
The gig is a sell out performance but fans lucky enough to already have secured tickets are set to be in for a spectacular gig in Monae’s biggest UK dates so far.
