No money? No problem. Welcome back to SKINT, your monthly guide to the chillest, cheapest shindigs in and around Manchester.

Toilet cubicles have blessed us with plenty of drunken wisdom. This exhibition, rather interestingly named "my mate Dave has come out tonight in my dead husband's wedding suit" focuses on exactly that - the hour-long preview at NQ's Night & Day will see a group of six artists exploring the weird and wonderful words of Manchester's loo-dwellers.

In her very first retrospective, artist SONIA BOYCE presents a wealth of material spanning mediums, from drawing and collage to collaborative work and video, each of which focuses on her own experience as a black woman in Britain. Her work displays a fascination with co-operation, be it familial or otherwise: be sure to check out every inch of her work at MAG this month.

Join a group of alternative wordsmiths - including Steve McCaffery and Katherine Mac Kormack - for a thrilling night of punk poetry - free of charge, INCLUDING refreshments. You can't really say no.

Pink pink pink pink pink... dust off the acoustic guitar and put your best shy face on for a night of glorious music appreciation at the Art of Tea. Nick Drake fans of all ages are sure to enjoy this evening of tributes to the great man himself.

Jazz fans, gather round: Salford's endlessly charming Deli Lama are set to host a free jazz night every Thursday this month (and the month after that, and the month after that...), with a range of emerging set acts and occasional open mic slots (every other week). Plus, they serve the best veggie grub on Chapel Street - so, really, it's a win-win.

PRIZES! POETS! OCCASIONAL RHYMES! That's right, it's the city's most loveable wordy bonanza, Punk in Drublic, returning to Reasons to be Cheerful this month. Whilst the full line-up is yet to be announced, you can be sure the PID team have got an absolute cracker in store. It may not be free - tickets are priced at around £5 - but it IS for charity.
