April 15: Mindfulness Day Festival @ The White Lion, MCR

Are you a student struggling to stay on top of things? We know the feeling. Luckily, this incredible day festival - filled to the brim with yoga, art, relaxing activity stations and even live music - has been created by the lovely lot at the White Lion to help you unwind and look after number one. Entry is pay-what-you-like, with all proceeds going to 42nd Street Charity.

April 19: Sculpture in Britain @ the Centre for Chinese Contemporary Art

This free exhibition offers a rare insight into Britain's complex relationship with sculpture. Those who attend will gain access to papers, journals and sketchbooks that date back to 1850.

April 26: VIEW by Deanna Halsall @ Common

In this idiosyncratic print collection, Islington Mill-based illustrator Deanna Halsall will peek behind the curtains of a fictional building to reveal the secrets within - a must-see for lovers of beauty often overlooked. What's more, entry is completely free of charge.

April 26: OTB Draw Club @ HOME MCR

Whoever said art was a loners game? Here's your chance to create, discuss and network with other like-minded artists, whatever your skill-level. All work created in this session will culminate in a pop-up 5-minute exhibition at HOME.

May 2: Capitalism & Football: Reclaim the Game @ Malaga Drift Coffee Lounge & Bar, Salford

If you've got a burning passion for footy and a fiery hatred for unfair match pricing, get yourself along to this electrifying debate. Hosted by the Salford Socialists group, you'll get your chance to have a say on the way Capitalism has affected the beautiful game.

May 24: Oh Sh*t, What Now? @ the Whitworth If you're a creative in an existential rut, this free event is for you. The latest installment of the Whitworth's fabulous Thursday Lates series, Oh Sh*t, What Now? Explores the trials and pitfalls faced by those entering the creative industry. Hosted by artist & mentor Craig Oldham, get yourself along for some brutal honesty and REALISTIC advice - isn't that exactly what we all need?
