An Orchestral Rendition of Biggie @ O2 Ritz [Sept 21]

Orchestral renditions of classic hip hop albums (My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, The Chronic and more) have been popping up all over the country for a little while now but Ready To Die at the Ritz is set to be a special one.

After over 30 sold out gigs in London, these gigs are the first time the re-imaginings are being brought on a nationwide tour.

From the original company behind these orchestral events, Re:Imagine, a sixteen piece band is set to take on Ready To Die, Biggie’s seminal debut release and bring the sounds of “Juicy,” “Big Poppa” and “Everyday Struggle,” to life in a way you have never seen before.

These events aren’t your standard orchestra gigs – there’s no sitting down or golf clapping to be found at a Re:Imagine performance. Instead, the crowd gets as lairy as at a usual hip hop gig.

Re:Imagine’s previous events have met rave reviews. The gigs include vocalists – Kanye’s Fantasy orchestral reimagining featured two male vocalists and one-woman singer. By all accounts, Re:Imagine have a good ear for talent; Ticket Arena described one of the rappers as sounding “exactly like Jay-Z” – so the night is in good hands as far as the emcees are concerned.

The performances are set to see the crowds singing along to the biggest hits – just wait till the iconic “It was all a dream / I used to read word up magazine,” bars hit and the room will be ecstatic, shouting along.

Tickets for the Re:Imagine event are still available here.
