Whether you've heard of it or not, Indieflicks is one of Manchester's finest cultural staples - best of all, it's never off-season.

Taking place on the first Wednesday of each month at Texture (situated in the heart of the Northern Quarter), this miniature film fest sees a selection of fresh new shorts showcased each month to a panel of expert judges and film buff audience members.
Following a Q&A with the filmmakers themselves, the panel will decide on which film should be handed the title of 'Best Feature'. The winning short is then shown at the end of the evening, along with a light showering - we hope - of critical acclaim, as well as some lightly pretentious comments about 'framing' and 'mise-en-scene'.
Tickets are selling quickly, so make sure to grab yours ASAP if you want in on this mint event. Plus, you should probably wear a beret and take up smoking if you really want to look the part... Just a suggestion, though.
