Alt pop’s perennial weirdo, Ariel Pink brings an intimate show to Manchester’s Gorilla this August.

The musician, whose 2017 record, Dedicated to Bobby Jameson, fizzed with nervous energy, will play a show at the 600 capacity Gorilla in partnership with Now Wave, Manchester’s brightest alternative bookers.

Ariel Pink’s music shifts between dainty acoustic jams and whirring, electronic weirdness – and this is his first UK tour since 2015, meaning it’ll be the first time for British ears to hear material from last year’s release.

The show will feature support from Manchester’s own Tim Burgess (of the Charlatans) performing a set of acoustic solo material. Burgess has been performing solo since 2003 and with the Charlatans since 1989, so he’s a seasoned performer used to venues of all sizes.
